ROB IVESSA
Rob practises primarily in commercial litigation, estates, insolvency, insurance and administrative law.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Rob practised as a solicitor for 10 years, most recently in a leading Brisbane commercial litigation and insolvency law firm where he conducted matters in the fields of contract, property, insolvency and bankruptcy (acting both for and against liquidators and trustees), trade practices, professional negligence, construction, administrative law, regulatory prosecutions, insurance, banking and corporate.
Previously Rob practised as a foreign qualified lawyer in a top 100 law firm in London, as a senior Commonwealth Prosecutor for the Commonwealth DPP and as a solicitor in a general practice in Western Australia.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology. He volunteers at the Caxton Community Legal Centre Inc providing pro bono legal advice to needy people at its night time volunteer clinic.
